Dave Walmsley's Training Programme

Well the first thing to establish is- training does NOT need to last for 30 mins or 1 hour in order to be productive.

What IS productive is "regular" practice.

What needs to be established is HABIT.

We need to develop a regular training habit.

I know people are pressed for time these days. I know that after a long work or school day the thought of having to train is not (for many people) a very pleasant idea. But I think I've got an answer for all of this.

The 5 x 5 x 5 program.

This stands for 5 minutes, 5 days, 5 techniques.

It consists of 2 schedules: week 1 and week 2. Each schedule contains 5

Survival-Defense techniques. Each technique is done for 5 mins. once per week.

Schedule 1

1. Monday: Chop (edge-of-hand, ax hand) - snap or jab style

2. Tuesday: Chinjab - power move

3. Wednesday: Knee Spike

4. Thursday: Cuphand - ear box (one / two hands) or groin strike

5. Friday: Scoop kick, sidekick

Schedule 2

1. Monday: Fingerjab - snap or jab

2. Tuesday: Palmheel / Face Smash - power move

3. Wednesday: Front kick, inside of foot thrust kick

4. Thursday: Thumb Gouge - eyes

5. Friday: Hammerfist
